Born in 1997, Liam is a filmmaker, photographer and artist. He specialises in cinematography, editing and does some colour grading, VFX and motion graphics. He completed a BA in Cape Town at City Varsity where he achieved "Best Cinematographer" for 3 consecutive years.
I have always enjoyed telling stories through images. My favourite pastime is analogue film photography, which has taught me so much about image-making and the basics of exposure, composition and colour control.
At City Varsity, I took part in a highly practical course in cinematography and editing. My time there has given me many opportunities in operating cinema cameras like the ARRI Alexa XT and lighting with professional equipment. I have also been lucky enough to use that gear to shoot amazing projects such as Cream Machine's music video, "Raak Taatie" that was funded and distributed by Sony Music.
